Orange County is undertaking this Safety Study to assess existing conditions, evaluate crashes against the Vision Zero goal, and identify improvements to enhance safety, accessibility, connectivity and comfort of all users of the corridor. The study focuses on pedestrians, cyclists and transit users and their interaction with other modes of transportation. The study objective is to review the need for additional enhancements to pedestrian, bicycle, and transit facilities to make crossing Hiawassee Road safer.
